Dr. Raut is a trained researcher, program evaluator, demographer, and biostatistician with over two decades of experience working at international, national, and regional levels across program management, statistical analysis, research, and evaluation.
His specialization lies in large-scale survey and research designs, sample size estimation, advanced survey data analysis, methods of population projections, demographic techniques, and denominator estimation for computation of public health indicators.
He developed the SCoPE Tool (Survey Sample Size, Cost, Population Projection and Estimation Tool) — a proprietary instrument used to bring efficiency to survey design, sample size and cost estimation, and population projections.
